Beginning the evening of Thursday, May 1, the two enclosed temporary passenger walkways, currently located near the west end of temporary passenger drop-off/pick-up area, will be relocated to the far east end of the temporary curb-front. Now open in the food court...Quizno's! That's right, stop by the food court located in the Grand Hall and enjoy a sub sandwich or bowl of soup from Quizno's. Food court hours of operation are 5:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Sunday.
December 3-7 the Airport hosted its annual Holiday Music Festival. This year's schedule included nineteen area middle and high school music groups. For more information click here.
The Michigan Association of Airport Executives has named Gerald R. Ford International Airport's Executive Director, Jim Koslosky, "Airport Manager of the Year" for 2007.

Travel Reminder
Effective Tuesday, January 23, 2007, all people, including United States citizens, traveling by air between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central America, South America, the Carribean, and Bermuda are required to have a valid passport to enter the United States.

Security Updates
The Department of Homeland Security continues to maintain the national threat level at ORANGE for all domestic air travel within the United States.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has announced it will no longer enforce the ban on common lighters in carry-on luggage effective August 4, 2007. TSA is also modifying the procedures associated with carrying breast milk through security checkpoints. Read the press release here.
