GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., October 14, 2026 – Gerald R. Ford International Airport has been named one of the top 10 small airports in the country in the 2026 USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards.
The recognition marks the airport’s fourth top two finishes in four years, earning first place in 2025 and 2023 and second place in 2024.

The USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards recognize top attractions and businesses across the country, with winners determined by public vote. The finalists were selected by a panel of subject matter experts and USA TODAY 10BEST editors before the public voted to determine the final rankings.
