Day 1: The Opening Act

Yeehaw! Your trip begins the moment the wheels touch down. Grab your bags, find a ride, and get ready to explore Music City. Why wait to soak in the local culture? Head straight down to the Honky Tonk Highway – the epicenter of the Nashville live music scene. Stroll through Music Row and Lower Broadway, which stretches through the heart of downtown, and let the good times roll at local staples like AJ’s Good Time Bar, Robert’s Western World, and The Stage.

Day 2: Two-Step Through History

There are so many sights to see in Nashville, and the Old Town Trolley Tour gives you an easy way to see it all. Hop on and off as you please, and check out all the places music legends made their mark. Fifteen stops allow you to soak up the city at your own pace while refueling at local hot spots like the Midtown Cafe.

Don’t miss an opportunity to explore the Belmont Mansion, a 20,000-square-foot Italian villa built in 1853 in the antebellum architecture style, resting on 177 pristine acres filled with manicured gardens.

Day 3: A Grand Ole Time

Even if you’re not a boot scooter or a honky tonker, you can’t visit Nashville without experiencing the country-western heritage that made this the Music City. Start the day at the Country Music Hall of Fame and take in multimedia exhibits that bring music history to life.

Stop at Historic RCA Studio B, where country music legends such as Elvis Presley and Chet Atkins recorded their immortal hits.

Explore the life and music of the “man in black” at the Johnny Cash Museum. It holds the largest collection of Johnny Cash memorabilia and has been voted the Best Music Museum in America for three years running.

Finish the day off with an unforgettable live show at the world-famous Ryman Auditorium or the one-of-a-kind Grand Ole Opry.

Day 4: Art Appreciation Day

Music isn’t the only art Nashville is known for. From prestigious galleries to the public murals adorning the walls of the city—including the famous WhatLiftsYou wings—a cultural experience awaits you on and off Broadway.

The Frist Art Museum is a cultural hub of the city, located in the historic post office building. This non-collecting museum features new exhibitions rotating through every few months, which means there is always something new to see at the Frist.

Experience spectacular gardens and world-class art at the Cheekwood Estate & Gardens. With 55 acres, this historic estate has something to inspire and excite everyone.

Hatch Show Print is a legendary letterpress print shop operating since 1879. Currently located inside the Country Music Hall of Fame, stop by and check out their vast collection of vintage type and hand-carved imagery used to create timeless designs that have become an expression of America’s cultural identity.

Just outside downtown, take in the galleries and architecture of The Parthenon, a full-scale replica of the original in Athens, Greece, built in1897. Beyond its unique architecture, its indoor gallery space features 63 pieces of 19th and 20th century paintings in its permanent collection, and more exhibit space for rotating exhibitions of art from around the world.

Day 5: Drink Up the Local Culture

Even if you’re not imbibing, there’s plenty about Nashville’s drink scene to enjoy. Tennessee Whiskey Tours will get you safely to and from some of the most famous distilleries in the area, and the world. Visit Jack Daniel’s in Lynchburg or take their Beer, BBQ, and Bourbon Tour to experience a bit of everything.
