Getting Around GFIA
In accordance with the Michigan Law and City of Grand Rapids ordinance, all areas within the terminal building are designated as smoke-free. In addition, smoking and the use of e-cigarettes are prohibited within 10 feet of entrances to the building. To accommodate our smoking patrons, smoking is permitted outside, in designated areas only. Thank you for your cooperation.
Note to e-cigarette users: The use of e-cigarettes is also prohibited inside the passenger terminal building. The U.S. Department of Transportation has determined that e-cigarettes are included in the 1987 law which bans smoking on airplanes. However, e-cigarettes are not considered a prohibited item by the Transportation Security Administration and may be packed in your carry-on bag when traveling.
