CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: Kent County Road Commission will begin construction of Patterson Avenue from 36th Street to 44th Street. From May 4th - June 5th, the construction will undergo lane closures and two-way traffic will be maintained. The Airport’s exit ramp onto Patterson northbound will be closed. Please allow for extra time when driving to and from the Airport.

UNITED AIRLINES OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES NONSTOP SERVICE TO WASHINGTON, D.C. - DULLES INTERNATIONAL

WHAT: United Airlines will officially commence air service to Washington, DC. from Gerald R. Ford International Airport on Wednesday, May 1. The airline will mark its inaugural flight with a special open house for passengers, news media, business partners, and community leaders. Remarks will be made by representatives of both the airline and airport, and they will be available for questions.

WHEN: Wednesday, May 1, 2013 8:30 AM (flight departure time – 9:15 AM)

WHERE: Gerald R. Ford International Airport, gate B-1 (subject to change). (Please report to the United Airlines ticket counter by 8:00 am for a gate pass to go through the security screening process.)

Based on passenger volume, Washington, DC is the sixteenth-largest market for Gerald R. Ford International – and, until now, was the third largest market without nonstop service. With the addition of this new service by United, Gerald R. Ford International now offers West Michigan travelers nonstop service to 23 major destinations across the United States, six of which are served by United Airlines.

In addition to offering West Michigan travelers a nonstop option to our nation’s capital, it also provides excellent domestic and international connections through another major hub airport.
