BIDS & PROPOSALS
The Kent County Department of Aeronautics is currently accepting sealed lump sum bids for the Replacement of North Loop Drive Light Poles at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport. Sealed Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m., Local Time on the 30th day of May, 2008 in the office of the Kent County Department of Aeronautics, Gerald R. Ford International Airport, 5500 44th Street SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49512. After the official Bid closing time, the Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Ford Room.
A mandatory prebid conference will be held prior to the bid opening on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Ford Room at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport Terminal to meet with prospective Bidders to discuss the work.

HEALTH & SAFETY STANDARDS PROGRAM
The Kent County Department of Aeronautics Health and Safety Standards Program is presented in this document. Contractors who have additional questions should contact the Department of Aeronautics.
DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (DBE) PROGRAM
The Kent County Department of Aeronautics has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program and an Airport Concession DBE (ACDBE) program in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) 49 CFR Part 26 and Part 23 respectively. It is the policy of the Kent County Department of Aeronautics to ensure that DBEs and ACDBE’s, as defined in part 26 and Part 23, have an equal opportunity to receive and participate in DOT-assisted contracts and concession opportunities. A full copy of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program document is available for review. AIRPORT RULES AND REGULATIONS
These Airport Rules and Regulations have been adopted by the Kent County Aeronautics Board. The provisions of this document are intended to provide for the safe, orderly, and efficient operation of the Airport. Violation of these Rules and Regulations will subject the offender to administrative action by the Board through the Kent County Department of Aeronautics and to penalties for such violations as provided in these Rules and Regulations.
All users of and any persons on the Airport property are governed by these Rules and Regulations. It is the responsibility of all persons, firms, and corporations operating on the Airport to acquaint themselves with and adhere to the Rules and Regulations at all times.
